If using Sat Nav

Sat Nav will not take you directly to Sychpwll unfortunately. Use the Sat Nav to take you as far as the humpback bridge with traffic lights over the River Severn on the B4393, between Llandrinio and Crew Green. Then do the following.

Take road immediately before the bridge (if coming from the direction of Llandrinio) or after the bridge (if coming from the direction of Crew Green). The road is signposted Haimwood and Haughton.

Keep on this road for around one mile until reaching the second road on the right, marked by a telegraph pole on the corner (If you come to a turning on the left, you’ve gone too far). Take that second right turn by the telegraph pole and follow down the straight. Keep on the tarmac road which takes you to Sychpwll.

Directions from the M6

Reach Sychwpll by car by taking the M54 for North and Mid Wales from junction 10A of the M6. Stay on the M54 which eventually becomes the A5, until you reach a roundabout shortly after the signposts for the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Take the left lane onto the A5W signposted North Wales, Shrewsbury, Leominster and Brignorth.

Continue on this road, bypassing Shrewsbury and passing through several roundabouts. When reaching the roundabout signposted A458, Mid Wales and Welshpool on the left, take this left turn.

Continue on the A458 for a mile or so until reaching the village of Ford. Passing through Ford, about one mile after the Shell garage on your left, you will see a large pub called the Smoke Stop on your right. Take the next night after the Smoke Stop signposted Four Crosses, Llandrinio and Alderbury.

Continue on this road for around 8 miles / 10-15 minutes, passing through the villages of Alderbury, Coedway and Crew Green. Shortly after the signpost for Llandrinio you will reach a humpback bridge with traffic lights. Take the right immediately after the bridge signposted Haimwood and Haughton.
